journal entries for personal purposes.

Saturday was spent with my good friends in Long Beach. We did community service hours for St. Mary’s hospital for a mission that they were doing to benefit the poor in Cambodia. We counted pills, basically pharmaceutical stuff. It was hard, well for me, because we were counting these little pills and I kept losing my track of numbers and dropping some.
Then we roamed around Long Beach looking for a birthday card and then got ice cream and Burger King.
Went to my friend’s birthday party. It was pretty chill. Loved the food, oh god I love Mexican food. :3

Sunday, as usual was church day, and then I went to the hospital. For a while I’ve had this rash on my hands (around  my knuckles) and it’s the grossest thing ever. It started around Thanksgiving last year and then went away during winter break completely. Now that I’m back in school it started again, but worse and I got it checked out. Turns out it’s scabies, as my friend Nessa said :), and it’s so gross oh god. At least the doctor was really nice and understanding about it considering she had it too for a while. She showed me these nasty ass pictures of skin diseases and conditions and it gave me the creeps so bad. UGH!
The electricity on my entire street was down, so there wasn’t much you could do when you’re home alone in a dark house. When my sister and dad came home we lit the whole house up with candles, and it was pretty fun. There was this sort of nostalgic feeling in the house and I felt like I was 5 (having no computer or phone and life was much simpler). Me and my dad picked up my brother and we went out to dinner and bought some fruits afterwards. Oh it was also my dog’s birthday on Sunday. He turned 15, or 105. It was so cute, ugh! Then when everyone was home we played poker, slap, and speed. Played a little bit of piano, and my brother the guitar. It was actually really nice. Makes you realize how close your family would be had it not been for social networking websites and busy lives.
